I live in a cute middle to upper class tourist town west of Chicago, IL. We are considered a middle class family. But the last few years have been hard on us....."Tent City, here We come!" Is a phrase that I have yelled out quite a few times lately. It may sound humorous but it is a reality that many might have to face sooner than later. Many are not sure where their next paycheck will come from and not sure how this months bills will be paid. We are all flying by the seat of our pants- so to say.
So, here we go...

Help Us Pay Our Bills!
Why?
First let me explain why I decided to create such a blog. I have found myself, as many have, in a constant situation where I am struggling to pay my bills and keep my family fed. So, in my perpetual insanity I have found some humor in my situation that I thought I would share with others who have found themselves in the same bind. Second, let me define the term "Tent City" as described by Wikipedia: The term tent city is used to describe a variety of temporary housing facilities made using tents. Informal tent cities may be set up without authorization by homeless people or protesters. As well, state governments or military organizations set up tent cities to house refugees, evacuees, or soldiers. Tent cities set up by homeless people may be similar to shanty towns, which are informal settlements in which the buildings are made from scrap building materials.
